This activity, in cooperation with Carrier Transicold and Thermo King, resulted in a revitalization of the refrigerated railcar and intermodal trailer business, as the technology helped transition temperature controlled freight from road to rail transportation. Today, StarTrak provides a significant share of the refrigerated rail, intermodal and container monitoring services deployed in North America, and has created the foundation for a broader range of applications being deployed with truckload carriers, private and lease fleets, food distribution and dairy/grocery fleets.
