GenTrak is a wireless communications service that provides real-time refrigerated container monitoring through the container genset. The system matches reefer container shipment planning information with a real-time routing system and automatically notifies you of the status or exceptions within your genset and container fleet. GenTrak provides the following functionality:
 Temperature and other alarms
Connectivity to a container along with container and genset number
Inventories of gensets inside of port facilities and when the genset is outside of a port facility
Download capability
Status updates when gensets enter/leave a terminal, rail ramp, or port facility |
The GenTrak system is mounted within the genset and consists of a communicator, GPS/wireless antenna, fuel sensor, container connection sensors, power line or wireless modem, and intelligence with pre-loaded and configurable geofence locations.
When the genset is connected to a refrigerated container, GenTrak provides remote condition monitoring and reefer remote unit control by reading the reefer system over either the power line modem or separate wireless connection. The system provides wireless condition monitoring of the reefer and genset in real-time. Access to fleet information is provided through StarTrak's RAMP network.
